Rationale and scope:

Field Inspection of TransCanada PipeLines Ltd. (TransCanada) Line 100-1 at watercourse crossings in the Vaudreuil (valve 149) and Senneville (valve 150) areas. These areas were subject to recent floods and this inspection will focus on the current status of the watercourses and any requirements for future mitigation. This activity will be carried out in coordination with a field inspection of the Trans Québec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc. pipeline.

Observation 1 - Watercourse Crossing in Senneville near MLV150

Observations:

NEB Officers accompanied TransCanada representatives to inspect the RoW and watercourse crossing near valve site MLV150 in Senneville (QC). TransCanada representatives informed NEB Officers that this waterway qualifies as a "navigable water" as per Transport Canada.

NEB Officers observed the following:

• Watercrossing signage (1 large sign) was present on the bank and visible.
• There was no signs of bank erosion and no pipe exposure at this location. 
• Signage on the east bank of l'Ile aux Tourtes was present, however, NEB Officers could not read the signage given the distance between the shores.
